Months have passed since season two ended and Team Arrow is performing at its peak, staving off crime in Starling City like it’s nobody’s business. In a scene from Arrow’s season-three premiere, which The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) shows just how comfortable he has gotten with the whole crime-fighting thing with Slade Wilson conveniently locked up.

As he zips through the city to fight another troublemaker, Oliver takes a second to make dinner plans. Hey, even crime fighters need to eat. But not just with anyone — with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).

Oliver’s trusted tech whiz, now supplementing her nonexistent Team Arrow income with a day job at an electronics store rushes away from paying customers to help with Oliver’s more urgent request. “You are going to get me so incredibly fired!” At least she’s a fan of Italian.

What isn’t shown in the clip is Detective, sorry, Captain Lance’s reaction to the Arrow leaving early after doing his due diligence (“Do you have a hot date or something?”), a bloody Felicity on a metal table and, of course, that Oliver and Felicity near-kiss.

“We deal with it head-on in the premiere, but there aren’t a lot of superheroes who are married,” Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti told THR in September of Oliver and Felicity’s finale “I love you” exchange. “It’s more that we’re dealing with the finale than we are with them.”

Arrow returns Oct. 8 on The CW.
